While I don’t condone messing with another person’s car, I don’t 100% blame the dude for smashing the windshield.

I’ve spent way more time on this than I should have, but someone on his IG post about this called him a “walking Wii avatar.”

“Was legally blocking traffic in NYC and this crazy guy comes out with a Bat and Smashed my Windshield!!…”
Is this more accurate?
Also, fuck that guy for shooting video like that.

how do u legally block traffic. I’d imagine as soon as you park in the street and sit on the hood (trunk/frunk?) its not legal

Team bat

Maybe with a permit? I don’t know.
With all the honking, I’m assuming they just decided to just park it there and take their photos.
There’s also a chance I suppose that the windshield was already damaged, and they staged it for views. It looks like a prank channel.
I assumed they just decided to park the car and block traffic, so I laughed.

I’m calling setup/staged for internet 30 seconds of fame

so this is going to be like that other super car smashed video that turned out to be fake. the windshield was already damaged, and a garbage vertical video is shot to capture a supposed attack
if you look below the damage from the bat you can see a smaller crack that was likely there already but hidden behind the poseur douche canoes sitting on the car for their “photo-shoot”

I was involved in road inspection work in New York after Sandy. I can tell you that the only way you can legally block traffic is with a permit, and one of the permit requirements is a traffic management crew. At the very least, this involves a truck with appropriate signage and blinking lights directing traffic around the obstructions. A large chunk of our budget was handed to guys in trucks with lights and signs who did nothing but follow our guys in their trucks with lights and signs.

Honestly, they couldn’t even be bothered to make up something that hasn’t already been done:
